Topic: Trusty Triumph

It had to happen! 1919 Model h first registered 7th April 1919 in Cornwall. Fettled by Ian Jennings and running well. Maybe do a little bit of cosmetic work at the end of the year on the front mudguard but apart from that....

Beautiful, Pete - hours of fun coming your way - especially pushing it.  wink
I like it a lot and can't see anything wrong with the front mudguard.

Re: Trusty Triumph

I had a short tootle on it today.
Things that I learnt:-
1) It goes very well for what it is.
2) Changing up from 1st to 2nd is akin to trying to undo your left shoe lace its so far down.
3) I must remember to keep the beaded edge tyres pumped up. What I thought was a slow puncture was actually a split in the tube due to the tyre being under inflated.

It's a learning experience for sure.

Re: Trusty Triumph

You will manage it eventually, Pete.   smile
It took me a few months to get back on the same day I set out on my BSA.
I eventually managed it.
The best bit of advice is "Divn't rush it, gan cany 'n tek yer time"
It will become second nature soon enough.

Re: Trusty Triumph

You'll have to get an entry form filled in for The Bamburgh Run, this year to be held on the 11th of June. It's going to be starting in Etal, but the longer route, about 90 miles, will still be passing through Bamburgh at some point. The route will be mainly over quiet roads, ideally suited for bikes like yours.
